Job Description
**Job Title:** Mobile Vehicle Technician/Diagnostic Specialist **Role Summary:** Provide on‑site diagnostic, maintenance, and repair services for a fleet of vehicles. Utilize mobile diagnostic equipment to identify faults, perform repairs, and ensure vehicles return to service promptly, adhering to safety and quality standards. **Expectations:** - Operate a valid clean driving licence and travel across specified regions. - Deliver technical solutions autonomously while maintaining detailed service records. - Communicate effectively with vehicle owners and internal stakeholders. - Adhere to regulatory safety protocols and data protection requirements. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct comprehensive on‑road diagnostics using advanced handheld equipment. - Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle faults. - Perform routine service tasks (oil changes, brake Service, fluid checks) and component replacements. - Troubleshoot and resolve service issues within agreed turnaround times. - Document all activities, parts used, and time logged in the fleet management system. - Inspect vehicles post‑repair to confirm issues are resolved and safety standards met. - Advise clients on preventive maintenance and potential upgrades. - Maintain mobile diagnostic instruments and submit calibration reports as required. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency with automotive diagnostic software and handheld tools. - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability. - Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. - High attention to detail and strong organization. - Effective communication and customer‑service orientation. - Capability to work independently and manage time efficiently. **Required Education & Certifications:** - A Level and above (or equivalent technical qualification) in Automotive Technology or related field. - Relevant automotive technician qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Automotive technology or equivalent). - Valid, clean driving license (category B or higher). - Acceptance of industry‑standard safety & compliance training (e.g., COSHH, HSE).
