Job Title: Azure Cloud Engineer
Role Summary: Design, build, and maintain Azure infrastructure with a focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and secure, scalable deployments. Work with architecture, security, networking, and application teams to deliver reliable cloud solutions across test, staging, and production environments.
Expectations:
- 5+ years of IT experience, with 3+ years hands‑on Azure cloud work;
- Proven ability to deliver Azure solutions using IaC (Bicep, ARM Templates, Terraform);
- Experience creating and managing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation in Azure;
- Strong troubleshooting skills for build, deployment, and operational issues;
- Ability to support both project‑specific tasks and broader cloud initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain Azure infrastructure using IaC (Bicep, ARM, Terraform).
- Deploy and manage resources across Dev, Test, Prod via CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop and maintain standardized templates, modules, and reusable components.
- Collaborate with networking teams on VNet subnets, NSGs, firewalls, load balancers, private endpoints, and DNS.
- Implement security, governance, and compliance controls in all deployments.
- Support backup, high‑availability, and disaster‑recovery solutions for Azure workloads.
- Participate in operational support: monitoring, patching, performance tuning.
- Document processes, create runbooks, and share knowledge with internal teams.
Required Skills:
- IaC tools: Bicep, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform.
- Azure services: IaaS, PaaS, networking, security, governance, backup, DR.
- CI/CD platforms: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
- Scripting: PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python (optional).
- Networking fundamentals: VNet, subnets, NSG, routing, VPN, ExpressRoute.
- Security & governance: Azure Policy, RBAC, secret management.
- Troubleshooting and debugging across build, deployment, and runtime.
- Documentation and knowledge‑sharing skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Azure certifications preferred: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204), or Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305).
