**Job Title**: Senior Data Engineer
**Role Summary**: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data infrastructure for a pharmaceutical environment, ensuring data quality, security, and regulatory compliance while enabling analytics, reporting, and machine learning.
**Expactations**: Deliver robust ETL pipelines, enforce data governance, optimize database performance, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions within regulatory constraints.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Architect and implement data lakes, star schemas, and other warehousing solutions.
- Build, optimize, and monitor end‑to‑end ETL workflows from diverse sources.
- Perform SQL query tuning, performance monitoring, and backup/recovery planning.
- Implement data validation, cleansing, and quality checks across pipelines.
- Create and maintain mappers for clinical codes (ATC, ICD, etc.).
- Automate integration tasks, set up CI/CD pipelines, and deploy monitoring tools.
- Collaborate with pharmacy analysts, business stakeholders, and clinical experts.
**Required Skills**
- Expert SQL; strong programming in Python and C#.
- Experience with relational databases (SQL Server), NoSQL (MongoDB), and data warehouses (Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse).
- Azure cloud platform proficiency.
- Familiarity with orchestration tools (e.g., N8N).
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards and regulations (HIPAA, GxP).
- Analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Bioinformatics, or related field.
- Certifications in cloud platforms (Azure) or data engineering are a plus.
