Job Description
**Job Title**: OpenShift DevOps **Role Summary**: Architect and implement container‑based solutions for Java microservices on Red Hat OpenShift and Pivotal Cloud Foundry. Modernize legacy PCF workloads, design multi‑cloud CI/CD pipelines, and enforce infrastructure automation. **Expectations**: - 6‑month contract, hybrid (3 days in‑office). - Deliver architecture assessments, migration roadmaps, and automation scripts. **Key Responsibilities**: - Evaluate existing PCF deployments, dependencies, and configuration for migration to OpenShift. - Design enterprise container platforms, including networking, storage, and security configurations. - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/GitLab, Ansible/Terraform, and Helm charts. - Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack. - Optimize Java EE, Spring, Hibernate applications for container environments and tune performance. - Create automation scripts (Shell, Helm, Python) for deployment, scaling, and lifecycle management. - Advise on hybrid/multi‑cloud strategies across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. **Required Skills**: - 15 + years IT experience, 5 + years in enterprise container architecture. - Red Hat OpenShift and Pivotal Cloud Foundry expertise (≥ 2 years). - Deep knowledge of Java EE, Spring, Hibernate, and microservices. - Proficient with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and container orchestration. - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and multi‑cloud strategies. - Skilled in infrastructure automation (Ansible, Terraform) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab). - Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and performance‑tuning tools. - Strong Linux admin, networking fundamentals, and Java application tuning. - Scripting in Shell, Helm, and experience with Java ETL/batch workflows and Autosys. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. - Relevant certifications: Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) is preferred.
