**Job title**
Senior Systems Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design, implement, maintain, and support Windows‑ and cloud‑based IT infrastructure for multiple clients, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. Drive continuous improvement and research to meet evolving business needs.
**Expectations**

- Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams.
- Prioritize tasks, manage competing priorities, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, security best practices, and disaster‑recovery solutions.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Plan and deploy server and cloud solutions on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
2. Configure and support on‑premises Exchange, M365, Google Workspace, and related SaaS.
3. Manage DNS, VDI, MFA, MDM, and VoIP infrastructure.
4. Administer firewall and cybersecurity applications; implement security controls and monitor compliance.
5. Develop and maintain system documentation, troubleshooting guides, and best‑practice procedures.
6. Perform incident resolution, root‑cause analysis, and preventive fixes.
7. Participate in NOC software, PSA tools, and RMM platforms to monitor and manage client environments.
8. Conduct disaster‑recovery drills and ensure swift restoration of services.
9. Provide on‑site support to client locations in the NYC metro area as needed.
**Required Skills**
- Windows Server administration
- Cloud platform management (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- PowerShell scripting (plus secondary scripting languages)
- DNS, VDI, MFA, MDM, VoIP, and NOC/PSA systems
- Network protocols and router/switch configuration
- Cybersecurity fundamentals (firewalls, best practices)
- Disaster‑recovery planning and execution
- Excellent problem‑resolution, communication, and customer‑service skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work autonomously
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of five years of senior systems engineering experience, with a history of delivering complex projects.
- Professional certifications are preferred (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CompTIA Security+, CCNA/CCNP).
