**Job Title** Director of Technology & Operations (Path to VP/CTO) **Role Summary** Senior technology and operations leader focused on defining and executing technology strategy, driving operational excellence, and building a high‑performance technical team. Responsible for scaling and maturing Managed Services operations, ensuring cybersecurity standards, and delivering consistent, high‑quality service to clients. **Expectations** - Translate executive vision into actionable plans with measurable outcomes. - Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational maturity. - Act as the primary technical authority for client engagements and internal decision‑making. - Provide clear escalation paths and support business development efforts. - Maintain profitability through efficient resource planning and cost controls. **Key Responsibilities** - **Technology Leadership & Strategy** – Define technology roadmap aligned with business goals; evaluate and implement emerging tools (Microsoft 365, security stack, RMM, PSA, backup, networking). - **Security Oversight** – Enforce robust cybersecurity policies across internal and client environments. - **Operational Excellence** – Standardize service delivery processes, documentation, and checklists; lead continuous improvement initiatives. - **People Leadership** – Hire, mentor, and evaluate technical staff; conduct performance reviews and coaching. - **Service Delivery & Client Engagement** – Oversee Quarterly Business Reviews, client relationship management, and escalation handling; ensure SLA compliance. - **Administrative & Financial Oversight** – Approve timesheets, manage subcontractor relationships, collaborate with finance on billing and invoicing. **Required Skills** - 8–15 years in IT service delivery/managed services. - Proven experience leading technology teams in an MSP or similar environment. - Deep knowledge of Microsoft ecosystems, cybersecurity best practices, and modern IT stack architecture. - Strong strategic and analytical thinking with execution focus. - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring abilities. - Process‑driven with experience in KPI tracking and continuous improvement. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Certifications such as PMP, CISSP, MCSE, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are preferred. - Ongoing professional development in emerging technologies and cybersecurity.
