**Job Title**: Mid-Level Technical Architect – MuleSoft
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, implementation, and governance of API‑driven integration solutions on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. Transform business backlogs into technical roadmaps, coach a MuleSoft development team, and ensure scalable, secure, and compliant API architectures.
**Expectations**
- Deliver high‑quality MuleSoft solutions within agreed timelines.
- Translate business requirements into technical epics, stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Maintain API governance, security policies, and compliance (GDPR, OAuth2/OIDC).
- Drive continuous improvement through code reviews, automated testing, and knowledge sharing.
- Monitor performance, reliability, and KPI compliance.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to clarify requirements.
- Prioritise and groom the technical backlog, plan sprints, and manage release schedules.
- Define and enforce API‑centric architecture (system, process, experience APIs).
- Author and version RAML/OAS specifications, publish to Anypoint Exchange.
- Ensure scalability, resilience, and reusability through standards, patterns, and reference implementations.
- Coach developers on DataWeave, error handling, performance, and MUnit testing.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce quality gates, CI/CD best practices.
- Implement API security: client‑id enforcement, OAuth2/OIDC, rate‑limiting, mTLS, secrets management.
- Align with GDPR and internal security standards.
- Define SLOs/KPIs, monitor via Anypoint Monitoring & Visualizer, and troubleshoot incidents.
- Lead root‑cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
- Report on delivery timelines, defect density, test coverage, security posture, and team growth.
**Required Skills**
- 6+ years in integration architecture and API management; 3+ years MuleSoft (Mule 4, Anypoint Platform).
- Deep knowledge of API‑centric design, RAML/OAS, DataWeave, CloudHub/Runtime Fabric.
- Proficient with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub), automated testing, and deployment.
- Experience with API security: OAuth2/OIDC, TLS/mTLS, rate limiting, secrets management.
- Strong governance, observability, and reliability engineering skills.
- Proven technical leadership: coaching, stakeholder management, decision making.
- Excellent communication in English; French required; Dutch a plus.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1 and/or MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect – Level 1 (preferred).
