Job Description
**Job Title:** Logistics Engineer Intern **Role Summary:** Support the logistics team of a national railway maintenance organization by managing project logistics, optimizing stock and supply processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across multiple maintenance sites. **Expectations:** - 6‑month paid internship starting March, with hybrid work (mainly Lyon) and 2‑3 days/week site visits. - Highly motivated engineering or Master’s‑level logistics student. - Ability to take ownership of a major logistics project and work independently on‑site. **Key Responsibilities:** - Implement logistical lots for production load‑increase projects (e.g., Level‑4 operations at Longueau) – define stock locations and establish inventories. - Monitor and control operational supply flows; identify and execute stock volume optimizations. - Develop performance indicators, propose process enhancements, and track action‑plan execution. - Coordinate with production agents, maintenance centers, and internal IT systems to ensure accurate consumption recording and invoicing. **Required Skills:** - Project management fundamentals; ability to plan, execute, and report logistics projects. - Strong analytical skills for stock forecasting, KPI development, and process analysis. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems. - Effective communication and teamwork across multiple sites; French language proficiency preferred. - Adaptability for frequent travel to maintenance centers throughout France. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Currently enrolled in an Engineering school or Master’s program (M2) specializing in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field. - No specific certifications required; academic coursework in logistics, operations, or project management is expected.
