**Role Summary:**
Lead the design, implementation, and operation of a secure, highly‑available AWS infrastructure for a SaaS tax platform. Own end‑to‑end cloud architecture, infrastructure‑as‑code, CI/CD pipelines, and observability while ensuring compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001). Partner with engineering, security, and leadership to drive reliability, cost efficiency, and scalability.
**Expectations:**
- Manage production AWS environments across staging, production, and internal tools.
- Deliver compliant, auditable infrastructure using Terraform.
- Build and maintain robust CI/CD and monitoring frameworks.
- Act as the primary owner of core infrastructure components, not a ticket‑taker.
- Influence platform standards and architecture decisions from an early‑stage product.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and maintain scalable, secure cloud architectures aligned with SOC 2 and related compliance.
- Develop and evolve Terraform codebases for repeatable deployments.
- Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and release automation.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents across services, networking, and data layers.
- Establish logging, metrics, alerting, and incident response processes (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch).
- Manage core AWS resources (VPC, IAM, networking, storage, ECS/EKS, RDS, load balancers).
- Harden Linux systems and containerized workloads (Docker, optionally Kubernetes).
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure cost‑effective, secure, and operable solutions.
**Required Skills:**
- 3+ years hands‑on production AWS management.
- Expert with Terraform and IaC workflows.
- Deep knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, ECS/EKS, IAM, networking, security groups, LB).
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Docker containerization.
- Familiarity with security/compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001).
- Proven end‑to‑end ownership of infrastructure systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration with technical and leadership teams.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Preferred: AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, SysOps Administrator).
- Nice to have: Experience with Kubernetes, Python scripting, observability stack setup, secrets/identity management, and fintech/SaaS security requirements.
