Job Description
Job Title: Cybersecurity Analyst (Entry–Mid Level) Role Summary: Supports daily cybersecurity operations by monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events across endpoint, network, cloud, and identity platforms. Assists with incident response, vulnerability management, and basic risk assessments to protect organizational assets. Expectations: - 0–3 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, SOC support, or related field. - Demonstrated hands‑on use of SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability scanners, or cloud security tools. - Ability to document findings, communicate technical details to non‑technical stakeholders, and adapt to a fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities: • Monitor security alerts, logs, and events across endpoint, network, cloud, and identity platforms. • Triage and investigate potential security incidents and suspicious activity. • Support incident response: evidence collection, analysis, and post‑incident reviews. • Assist in vulnerability identification, prioritization, remediation tracking, and validation. • Conduct basic security assessments, control reviews, and risk evaluations across systems and applications. • Collaborate with IT, cloud, and engineering teams to validate security controls and remediation efforts. • Document security findings, incidents, risks, and remediation actions in centralized tracking systems. • Contribute to security procedure, playbook, and documentation development. • Participate in audits, tabletop exercises, and security improvement initiatives. Required Skills: - Proficiency with SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability scanners, and cloud/identity security platforms. - Strong analytical, investigative, and documentation capabilities. - Clear communication of technical findings to diverse audiences. - Understanding of threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and identity/network/end‑point security fundamentals. - Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, NIST RMF, ISO/IEC 27001, CIS Controls, PCI DSS) is a plus. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent hands‑on experience). - Entry‑level security certifications such as Security+, SSCP, or equivalent are preferred.
