**Job title**
Software Engineer – Backend & DevOps
**Role Summary**
Design, build, and maintain high‑performance backend services, front‑end UIs, and cloud‑native infrastructure across multiple product lines. Drive CI/CD pipelines, automation, and observability while ensuring quality, scalability, and security.
**Expectations**
Be a full‑stack contributor with deep expertise in PHP (Laravel/Symfony), Go, and modern JavaScript frameworks. Own end‑to‑end delivery of features and infrastructure, collaborate across product teams, and apply test‑first practices. Deliver secure, maintainable code and proven solutions for payment, email, data, and AI services.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Infrastructure & DevOps** – develop and maintain PHP & Go back‑ends; build Svelte/Preact front‑ends; manage CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Docker Swarm orchestration, and Ansible‑based provisioning; administer PostgreSQL/MySQL; integrate payment gateways (Stripe, Paddle) and email services (Amazon SES, Mailgun); build test suites with PHPUnit.
2. **Data & Performance** – work with ClickHouse OLAP; write high‑performance SQL queries; implement sharding and scaling strategies.
3. **Content & SEO** – enhance rich‑text editing with ProseMirror; optimize SEO metadata, Open Graph, and Twitter Cards.
4. **Email & Delivery** – architect email worker infrastructure, webhook handlers, DNS and SMTP servers; manage IP reputation and third‑party API integrations.
5. **AI & Security** – integrate LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic); develop AI‑driven moderation and IP geolocation handling.
6. **Observability & Monitoring** – build end‑to‑end monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Alertmanager; review database health via Percona Monitoring and Management.
**Required Skills**
- PHP (Laravel & Symfony), Go, JavaScript, Svelte/Preact
- Docker, Docker Swarm, Ansible, Linux, Bash scripting
- PostgreSQL, MySQL, ClickHouse, SQL performance tuning
- Payment APIs (Stripe, Paddle), Email APIs (Amazon SES, Mailgun)
- CI/CD pipelines, automated testing (PHPUnit)
- Cloudflare, DNS, SMTP, IP reputation management
- AI API integration, basic security best practices

**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
