Job Description
**Job Title** System Security Officer **Role Summary** Lead the security management of the project infrastructure, delivering comprehensive security risk assessments, CPTED implementation, and threat/vulnerability analyses. Act as the primary liaison with the contracting authority, chief security officers, and emergency response agencies to ensure secure operations and compliance with industry and regulatory standards. **Expectations** - Execute all security management functions for the project infrastructure. - Support the Chief Security Officer in certifying the Ontario Line Subway System. - Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of applicable safety and security standards. - Deliver timely, accurate security documentation and reports. **Key Responsibilities** - Conduct security risk assessments, CPTED studies, and threat/vulnerability analyses. - Serve as Project Co’s contact for the contracting authority, CSO, North Civil Project Co, law enforcement, and emergency agencies on security matters. - Coordinate security certification activities with the CSO and the System Safety and Security Interface Committee (SSSIC). - Ensure compliance with CENELEC EN 50126, 50128, 50129, MIL‑HDBK‑217, and local transport safety legislation. - Apply safety engineering and reliability analysis techniques (FMEA, FTA, Markov models, Monte Carlo, reliability block diagrams). - Provide technical security input for system architecture, hardware, and software. - Prepare and maintain security documentation, audit trails, and reports. **Required Skills** - Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or equivalent. - 10+ years experience in FDMS/RAMS operational safety, preferably in urban transportation. - In‑depth knowledge of CENELEC standards, MIL‑HDBK‑217, and local transport safety laws. - Strong risk analysis and reliability engineering expertise. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Fluency in English (spoken, read, written). - Fluency in French (spoken, read, written) preferred. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering, or equivalent technical training. - Professional Engineer (P. Eng) designation or eligibility. - CPP certification or equivalent.
