Job Description
**Job Title:** Network Engineer **Role Summary:** Responsible for enhancing, maintaining, and supporting sophisticated network infrastructure within a global IT organization. Works within the network operations team to ensure reliable, secure, and high‑performance connectivity that underpins digital transformation initiatives. **Expectations:** - Deliver stable and secure network services across multiple sites. - Participate in on‑call rotation and incident response. - Contribute to continuous improvement of network design and operations. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support digital transformation projects. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, configure, and deploy routers, switches, firewalls, and related networking equipment. - Monitor network performance, conduct capacity planning, and troubleshoot issues. - Implement and maintain network security controls and policies. - Create and update network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures. - Perform firmware upgrades, patch management, and hardware lifecycle activities. - Support LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud‑based networking services. - Assist in vendor management and coordinate with service providers. **Required Skills:** - Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing (OSPF, BGP), switching (VLANs, STP), and VPN technologies. - Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent enterprise networking platforms. - Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, NetFlow). - Understanding of network security principles and firewall management. - Ability to read and create network schematics and technical documentation. - Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
