Job Description
Job title: Privacy Analyst Role Summary: Advise federal agency project teams on privacy requirements, conduct privacy risk assessments, and recommend mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with applicable privacy laws and agency policies. Expectations: Deliver clear, actionable recommendations; perform quality assurance reviews of privacy deliverables; maintain up-to-date knowledge of privacy regulations; support the Privacy Officer in program administration. Key Responsibilities: • Review and document agency PII usage and privacy protection implementation. • Assess agency privacy projects, initiatives, and procedures. • Conduct privacy risk assessments and quality assurance of all deliverables. • Update and manage privacy methods, procedures, and evaluative processes. • Brief Privacy Officer on findings and recommendations. • Monitor developments in privacy laws, standards, and industry best practices. Required Skills: • Experience with Privacy Package assessments and QA. • Ability to administer privacy information programs and conduct risk assessments. • Strong analytical skills to identify risks and recommend remediation. • Detail‑oriented, well‑organized, and able to manage multiple priorities. • Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of working independently and in teams. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in an IT‑related field. • Minimum 5 + years in cybersecurity/information security, with 3 + years in federal privacy information and policy. • Current CDPSE, CIPP, or other recognized privacy/security certification preferred.
