MyCardium AI, a UCL spinout founded in April 2022 to transform how medical imaging is delivered in healthcare through the use of “super-human” AI. Focusing on Cardiac MRI and Echo, our ambition is to deliver this AI to point-of-care worldwide. We also run an AI power cardiac focussed core lab. Our mission is to improve healthcare system performance, patient outcomes by delivering better diagnoses, and help create next generation treatments by analysing Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Images and Echocardiograms using Artificial Intelligence Algorithms capable of performing the automation of heart measurement to a super-human standard.

Job Description
**Job title**: Cloud Engineer **Role Summary**: Design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for AI‑driven medical imaging solutions, ensuring high availability, performance, and regulatory compliance while integrating CI/CD pipelines and automating operations. **Expectations**: Lead end‑to‑end cloud architecture; deliver new features rapidly while enforcing GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 controls; mentor teammates; document best practices; own monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement of cloud environments. **Key Responsibilities** - Architect and deploy multi‑cloud solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Configure domain management, DNS, and secure access using Cloudflare. - Set up secure VPNs (e.g., Tailscale) and granular IAM policies. - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Argo CD, or equivalent. - Manage containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes, delivering automated build, test, and release workflows. - Provision infrastructure with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and maintain version control. - Perform routine security assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability scans. - Enforce compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001) through data handling, logging, and access controls. - Monitor performance, set alerts, and conduct capacity planning using open‑source metrics tools. - Produce and maintain technical documentation and run‑books. - Collaborate with product, data science, and DevOps teams to scale AI model deployments. **Required Skills** - 3+ years experience in cloud engineering or DevOps. - Deep proficiency in one major public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Container orchestration (Kubernetes) and container tooling (Docker). - CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Argo CD). - Scripting: Python, Bash, or PowerShell. - Cloud networking, VPC/TCP, firewall, IAM best practices. - Understanding of security frameworks: ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA. - Strong troubleshooting, incident response, and communication skills. - Ability to document and share knowledge. *Bonus*: Hybrid cloud, monitoring stack (Prometheus, Grafana), ML model deployment on cloud. **Required Education & Certifications** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Engineer.
