Job Description
**Job title:** Graduate Structural Engineer (E1) **Role Summary:** Entry‑level structural engineer responsible for contributing to the design, analysis, and documentation of structural systems across all building types, ensuring compliance with major international building codes and firm standards. **Expectations:** - Deliver design outputs on schedule and within budget. - Maintain compliance with firm procedures, standards, and CPD requirements. - Demonstrate flexibility to handle evolving duties and changing project emphasis. **Key Responsibilities:** - Participate in the structural engineering design process for assigned projects. - Perform structural design and analysis for all building types through all design stages. - Prepare calculations, reports, structural drawings, specifications, and other design documentation. - Contribute to the overall objective of producing first‑class architectural and engineering designs. - Liaise with external project teams and associated organizations as required. - Record evidence of continuing professional development (CPD). - Adhere to firm procedures and standards. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in structural analysis and design principles. - Familiarity with major international building codes (e.g., Eurocode, BS 8110, ASCE 7). - Experience with structural design software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, Robot Structural Analysis, Revit). - Drafting and documentation skills for structural drawings and reports. - Strong communication and teamwork abilities. - Capacity to adapt to flexible work requirements. - Commitment to continuous professional learning. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Civil/Structural Engineering. - Eligibility to register with a recognized professional engineering body (e.g., RCS, ICE, ASCE). - No prior professional experience required; entry‑level candidate acceptable.
