Job Description
**Job Title:** Data Analyst **Role Summary:** Provide analytical support within the Risk Solutions team of an insurance organization. Develop data‑intelligence tools, analyze internal and external datasets, and convert insights into strategic recommendations that influence underwriting, client engagement, and business development. **Expectations:** - Deliver high‑quality, data‑driven insights to senior management and stakeholders on a regular basis. - Work independently within tight deadlines while collaborating with account executives and managers. - Leverage emerging AI and reporting technologies to streamline processes. **Key Responsibilities:** - Build, maintain and enhance intelligence tools, processes, and documentation. - Perform detailed analysis of binding authority contracts and related data. - Generate dashboards, visualisations and reports in Power BI and Excel. - Present findings to senior leadership and support global business‑development strategy. - Act as a data liaison for account teams, translating complex analytics into actionable insights. **Required Skills:** - Minimum 3 years experience in insurance (broking or underwriting). - Deep knowledge of Binding Authority processes (end‑to‑end). - Advanced Excel (Power Query, advanced functions). - Power BI and strong data visualisation skills. - Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with relational databases. - Python programming (preferred). - Excellent written and verbal communication; adept at stakeholder engagement. - Ability to work autonomously under strict timeframes. - Interest in AI and modern reporting technologies. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. - Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst) are an advantage but not mandatory.
