Chief Technology Officer
**Role Summary**
Lead the technical vision and execution for a SaaS platform that automates ESG reporting. Own code quality, architecture, AI integration, and technology scalability while building and mentoring a growing engineering team.
**Expectations**
- Drive end‑to‑end product development from concept to deployment.
- Ensure high code standards, robust testing, and continuous integration pipelines.
- Integrate AI solutions that deliver measurable business value.
- Expand a 3‑member dev/data team to 10 in three years.
- Collaborate closely with product and other stakeholders to shape the roadmap.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure architecture using TypeScript, Remix, React, Express/Node.js, PostgreSQL, Docker, and Scalingo‑like infrastructure.
- Write high‑quality, unit/ integration‑tested code; enforce CI/CD, security, documentation, and best practices.
- Reduce technical debt and standardize codebase for maintainability and performance.
- Build and lead a culture of rigorous engineering, mentorship, and continuous learning.
- Recruit, onboard, and grow the engineering and data teams.
- Collaborate with Product to translate strategy into execution and prioritize backlog items.
- Oversee infrastructure scalability and operational resilience.
- Validate and incorporate AI features that enhance ESG reporting workflows.
**Required Skills**
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, Remix, Express/Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Docker.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, automated testing, security hardening, and Sentry monitoring.
- Proven ability to design scalable SaaS architectures and manage cloud‑based infrastructure.
- Hands‑on AI/ML integration experience in a production environment.
- Leadership experience: recruiting, mentoring, and scaling engineering teams.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with ESG/CSR reporting concepts is advantageous.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, Kubernetes) preferred but not mandatory.
