**Job Title:** Principal Data Scientist
**Role Summary:**
Lead the design, development, and delivery of advanced data‑science and applied‑AI solutions across complex infrastructure projects. Serve as the technical authority for enterprise data platforms, mentor multidisciplinary teams, and drive client‑focused service improvements while managing project scope, budget, and stakeholder communication.
**Expectations:**
- Provide expert technical guidance and act as the primary liaison between business users and the technology office.
- Champion service‑improvement initiatives and strategic planning for AI/ML deployments.
- Oversee end‑to‑end project delivery, including cost estimation, risk management, and schedule control.
- Research emerging technologies and assess their applicability to business needs.
- Ensure high‑quality documentation, testing, and training for user adoption.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Lead service‑improvement initiatives to boost customer satisfaction and drive execution across virtual teams.
2. Act as technical lead for enterprise data‑management platform implementations (e.g., CRM redesign).
3. Manage user accounts, directory access, server permissions, and internal internet services.
4. Design and architect software, databases, third‑party integrations, and internationalization solutions.
5. Sponsor roadmap development, reliability simulations, and hardware‑software‑network correlation analyses.
6. Create marketing and collateral material for technology services/products.
7. Lead business‑development efforts: cost, risk, scope calculations; support RFP/RFI/RFQ responses with specialized expertise.
8. Serve as single point of contact for technology projects, defining scope, estimating costs, preparing proposals, and managing budgets and schedules.
9. Apply consulting methodologies to collect and analyze data, evaluate new technologies, and present findings to leadership.
10. Establish user groups, act as liaison, and identify internal/external resources to meet project requirements.
11. Develop detailed business‑system documentation, workflow diagrams, and user‑needs specifications.
12. Review use cases and technical documents to ensure alignment with business requirements.
13. Define and implement QA practices, end‑user test plans, and training initiatives.
**Required Skills:**
- Advanced data‑science, machine‑learning, and statistical modeling expertise.
- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and related analytics libraries.
- Strong experience with Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Deep knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data‑warehousing solutions (Snowflake).
- Enterprise data‑management and CRM implementation experience.
- Software architecture, API integration, and database design skills.
- Project leadership, budgeting, and risk‑management capabilities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Business analysis, quality‑assurance, and training‑development competence.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field **and** ≥13 years relevant experience, **or**
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field **and** ≥12 years relevant experience, **or**
- Minimum 17 years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of a formal degree.
(Professional certifications in cloud platforms, data‑science, or project management are preferred but not mandatory.)
