Job Description
**Job Title** Associate Cost Manager (F/H) **Role Summary** Senior cost‑management professional coordinating teams for multiple data‑centre construction projects. Oversees cost planning, tendering, financial reporting, client relations, and profit‑driven service delivery while mentoring staff and ensuring compliance with contractual and insurance requirements. **Expectations** - Deliver high‑quality cost‑management deliverables that meet customer needs. - Support Business Unit Directors in achieving business objectives. - Maintain proactive communication with customers and internal stakeholders. - Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth. - Ensure timely, accurate valuation, payments, and final account settlement. - Manage service delivery within budget and profitability targets. - Advise on procurement strategy and risk management, including PI insurance impact. **Key Responsibilities** - Coordinate cost‑management teams across all project stages (pre‑contract, construction, post‑contract). - Prepare and present cost estimates, option studies, cost‑planning, and cost‑in‑use analyses. - Draft tender documents, manage tender processes, design marking schemes, and evaluate tenders. - Arrange payments, settle final accounts, and produce client‑facing reports. - Mentor and coach team members, fostering professional development. - Communicate emerging project issues to Directors, especially those affecting indemnity insurance. - Identify and develop new business opportunities across business units. **Required Skills** - Proven experience in cost management for large‑scale construction projects. - Knowledge of data‑centre project cost dynamics (preferred). - Understanding of building contract legislation. - Strong oral and written communication; fluent in English. - Methodical, organized, adaptable to changing environments. - Excellent problem‑solving, negotiation, finance, and numeracy skills. - Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Team‑leadership capability and ability to manage teams. - Eligible to work in France. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Building Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related construction discipline.
