**Job Title:** Azure Infrastructure Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and cost‑efficient Microsoft Azure environments for mission‑critical workloads. Lead multi‑phase cloud migration, hybrid integration, and ongoing operations while ensuring compliance with industry security standards.
**Expectations:**
- Minimum 7 years of IT infrastructure experience, 3+ focusing on Azure.
- Proven track record of enterprise‑scale cloud migrations (rehost, replatform, hybrid).
- Strong expertise in Azure IaaS (VMs, networking, storage), PaaS (SQL Managed Instance, App Services, Blob Storage, Monitor, Security Center), and infrastructure‑as‑code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform).
- Ability to architect hybrid connectivity, identity, and automation solutions using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and related tools.
- Demonstrated ability to optimize cost with Reserved Instances, Azure Hybrid Benefit, and capacity planning.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and maintain cloud architecture for migration and modernization projects.
- Design and deploy vNet peering, subnets, gateways, and hybrid identity solutions.
- Lead application and database migrations to Azure, selecting appropriate strategy.
- Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting with Azure native services.
- Ensure compliance with security frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST, ISO 27001).
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hybrid cloud infrastructure issues.
- Collaborate with developers, application owners, and security teams; report on health, performance, and risk.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive knowledge sharing.
**Required Skills:**
- Azure IaaS and PaaS services.
- Networking (VPN, TLS, DNS, gateways).
- Hybrid identity (Azure AD, on‑prem AD).
- Infrastructure‑as‑code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform).
- PowerShell, Azure CLI, automation scripting.
- Cloud cost optimization.
- Performance tuning and troubleshooting.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years infrastructure experience, 3+ years Azure experience.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent certification preferred.
