Job Description
**Job Title** FP&A Business Analyst – Financial Systems (Contract) **Role Summary** Contract FP&A Business Analyst supporting a large‑scale FP&A transformation in a financial services firm. Acts as bridge between finance and technology teams to enhance, automate, and ensure accuracy of forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes. **Expactations** - Minimum 5–10 years of experience in FP&A, financial systems, or business analysis. - Proven experience in financial services (insurance, asset or wealth management). - Ability to work 3–4 days onsite per week in the United States with valid work authorization. - Deliver high‑quality documentation, test plans, and UAT results on time. - Communicate clearly with both finance and technical stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities** - Analyze current FP&A projection, variance, and scenario‑modeling processes; identify automation opportunities. - Gather, document, and validate business and system requirements with FP&A and technical teams. - Design and execute test plans, test cases, and UAT focused on data accuracy and controls. - Ensure data integrity, consistency, and governance across planning and reporting platforms. - Challenge existing workflows and propose improvements to forecasting accuracy and efficiency. - Serve as liaison between FP&A users and technology developers, managing priorities and communications. - Support creation of financial dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting packages. **Required Skills** - Strong understanding of FP&A processes (forecasting, scenario analysis, variance reporting). - Hands‑on experience with financial planning systems (e.g., Hyperion, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights). - Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency. - Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Effective verbal and written communication; ability to translate finance requirements for technical teams. - Knowledge of financial data controls and governance. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Advanced degree (MBA or similar) is a plus but not required. - No specific certifications mandated; relevant FP&A or system‑implementation certifications are advantageous.
