Job Description
**Job title** Cloud/DevOps Engineer (Security Clearance Required) **Role summary** Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud and DevOps solutions for a space‑industry organization. Lead CI/CD pipeline design, infrastructure as code, Kubernetes cluster operations, and security hardening on AWS. Mentor peers and collaborate across development and operations teams. **Expectations** * 5–8 years of professional experience in systems/network/cloud administration. * 5+ years designing and deploying AWS‑based DevOps solutions. * Advanced Linux administration, Python & Bash scripting, Git proficiency. * Active top‑tier U.S. security clearance (Secret/TS/SCI). * U.S. citizenship required. **Key responsibilities** * Partner with dev/ops teams to gather requirements and architect secure, maintainable cloud solutions. * Evaluate and select modern DevOps toolsets aligned with best practices and cost efficiency. * Own automation, enhancement, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/GitHub). * Build and manage Kubernetes clusters; deploy applications using YAML, Helm. * Design and implement IaC with Terraform, AWS CDK, Ansible for configuration management. * Implement secure AWS environments (IAM, SCPs, VPC, security groups, CloudWatch, Systems Manager). * Troubleshoot complex system/application issues across cloud‑native and containerized environments. * Support HPC and data‑engineering deployments. * Mentor junior engineers, conduct peer reviews, share best practices. **Required skills** * Proficient in AWS services (IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, Systems Manager, etc.). * Deep knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Helm. * Terraform (IaC) and Ansible (config‑management). * Python and Bash scripting. * Git (branching, workflows, version control). * Linux system administration (expert level). * CI/CD pipeline management (GitLab preferred, GitHub support). * Observability: CloudWatch, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Prometheus (basic). * Database administration: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Neo4j (basic). * Understanding of DevSecOps principles and cloud security best practices. **Required education & certifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field (or equivalent experience). * Active U.S. security clearance (Secret/TS/SCI).
