Job Description
Job title: Intern, Research Analyst (2026) Role Summary: A short-term (12‑month) internship focused on client research projects. Interns support the consulting team by designing and analyzing quantitative and qualitative studies, coding data, and preparing client deliverables. Mentorship from senior leaders ensures exposure to project management, statistical analysis, and report writing. Expectations: - Deliver high‑quality research reports within deadlines. - Participate in client meetings, data collection, and analysis. - Apply statistical tools and qualitative coding to produce actionable insights. - Maintain professional communication and uphold confidentiality. - Collaborate with team members across projects. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct literature reviews and secondary data research. - Assist in questionnaire design, survey administration, and focus‑group facilitation. - Enter, clean, and analyze data using SPSS or equivalent software. - Code and interpret qualitative data; use computer‑aided text analysis when required. - Create PowerPoint presentations and Excel dashboards for client pitches and final reports. - Manage project timelines, track progress, and update project documentation. - Attend team meetings, client calls, and internal training sessions. Required Skills: - Proficiency in SPSS or other statistical packages (e.g., R, Stata, Python). - Experience with qualitative data coding or computer‑aided text analysis. - Solid knowledge of quantitative research methods (survey design, sampling). - Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). - Strong written and verbal communication in English; second‑language skills (French, Punjabi, Mandarin, Cantonese) considered an asset. - Excellent organizational and project‑management abilities. - Reliable high‑speed internet access and self‑motivation for remote work. Required Education & Certifications: - Current enrollment in or completion of a post‑secondary degree or diploma in Political Science, Economics, Marketing, Business, Commerce, Psychology, Consumer Behavior, Applied Mathematics, or related field. - Demonstrated academic or project experience in quantitative and/or qualitative research. ---
