Job Description

Job title: AWS DevOps Engineer Role Summary: Design, build, and operate scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines for internal and client applications on AWS. Expectations: Minimum 5 years of professional DevOps experience focused on AWS. Proven track record of automated provisioning, CI/CD, monitoring, and security best practices. Strong collaboration with cross‑functional teams, excellent communication, and a growth mindset. Key Responsibilities: * Architect and implement AWS infrastructure using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation). * Containerize applications with Docker; deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters (k8s) and Helm charts. * Configure and maintain IaC and configuration management tools (Ansible). * Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, TeamCity). * Apply DevSecOps principles: IAM policy design, secrets management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager). * Set up and tune monitoring/logging solutions (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk). * Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal tool and process improvement initiatives. * Review and enforce code quality, test‑driven development, and agile practices. Required Skills: * Expertise in AWS services (EC2, EKS, ECS, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudFormation). * Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation. * Configuration management: Ansible. * Containerization & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm. * Programming/scripting in Python, Go, or Node.js. * CI/CD tooling: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, TeamCity. * Monitoring & observability: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk. * Secrets & credential management: Vault, AWS Secrets Manager. * Knowledge of IAM architecture and security best practices. Required Education & Certifications: * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. * AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional is highly desirable.
