Job Title: Signal Processing & Digital Communications Expert (H/F)
Role Summary:
Lead research, development, and simulation of advanced signal‑processing and digital‑communication algorithms for mission‑critical defense systems. Collaborate with RF, FPGA/GPU, and AI engineering teams to integrate cutting‑edge solutions into embedded and high‑performance computing platforms.
Expactations:
- Conduct deep literature reviews and technology assessments in signal processing and digital communications.
- Simulate, benchmark, and optimize complete algorithmic chains in MATLAB or Python.
- Design innovative detection, estimation, classification, demodulation, decoding, equalization, localization, and MIMO solutions.
- Mentor and supervise interns and doctoral students.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non‑technical stakeholders in English.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform state‑of‑the‑art literature reviews on recent advancements in signal processing and digital communications.
2. Model, simulate, and compare candidate algorithms for performance, complexity, and implementation feasibility.
3. Interface with RF, FPGA/GPU, and AI teams to anticipate integration requirements and constraints.
4. Architect end‑to‑end solutions for detection, estimation, classification, demodulation, decoding, equalization, localization, and MIMO systems.
5. Provide technical guidance and oversight for student research projects and theses.
6. Draft technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external audiences.
Required Skills:
- In‑depth knowledge of signal‑processing theory, filtering, estimation, detection, modulation, coding, and digital receiver design.
- Proficiency with MATLAB (Communications & Signal Processing toolboxes) and Python (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit‑learn, Matplotlib, Seaborn).
- Understanding of LTE/5G protocols, error‑correcting codes, and digital communication standards.
- Experience with multi‑threaded and GPU‑accelerated code optimization, memory management, and vectorization (C/C++).
- Familiarity with machine‑learning/deep‑learning techniques applied to signal‑processing tasks.
- Good technical English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Ability to obtain and work under defense‑grade security clearances (optional but preferred).
Required Education & Certifications:
- Engineer degree, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Signal Processing, Digital Communications, or a closely related field.
- Proven track record of research or applied projects in the above domains.
- Optional: certifications in communications engineering (e.g., IEEE, ETSI) or cybersecurity are a plus.
