Job Description
Job title: Security and Health Engineer (H/F) Role Summary: Lead the health and safety program for the manufacturing site, enforce company policies, coach managers, maintain documentation, and ensure regulatory compliance. Act as liaison with external suppliers, drive continuous improvement, and support new facility construction. Expactations - Report directly to the Site Director. - Execute the site’s health and safety policy and ensure all managers adhere to it. - Provide ongoing training and coaching on daily safety rituals. - Manage documentation and communication materials. - Oversee external contractors and verify regulatory compliance. - Propose and implement improvements to procedures and site safety. Key Responsibilities - Enforce and promote the company’s health and safety policy among site managers. - Coach managers on the morning safety ritual (SPI 1) to optimize safety organization. - Structure, update, and maintain key documents such as the unique safety document and other operational safety records. - Develop communication supports (operational safety sheets, flash briefings). - Coordinate and supervise external subcontractors and service providers. - Conduct regulatory checks and inspections, and develop corrective action plans for non‑conformities. - Identify and propose improvements for procedures and overall site safety. - Participate in the planning and construction of new facilities to embed safety considerations. Required Skills - Expertise in occupational health and safety regulations and best practices. - Strong coaching and training abilities. - Experience managing safety documentation and compliance records. - Ability to develop clear, engaging safety communication materials. - Vendor management and contractual oversight skills. - Problem‑solving and continuous improvement mindset. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. - Professional safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or comparable French certification) strongly preferred.
