**Job Title:** Vice President and General Manager – Retail (North America)
**Role Summary:**
Executive leader responsible for full P&L ownership and day‑to‑day operations of a $300 M retail division. Drives transformational growth, builds strategic retail partnerships, and establishes omnichannel, data‑driven capabilities to deliver profitable, sustainable performance across home‑improvement and club channels.
**Expectations:**
- Define and execute a multi‑year Growth Agenda aligned with corporate objectives.
- Lead a high‑performing retail team with a general‑manager mindset and a culture of accountability.
- Achieve revenue, margin, EBITDA, and cash‑flow targets while optimizing trade spend ROI.
- Establish Broan‑NuTone as the preferred vendor and “category captain” at key retailers.
- Deliver data‑centric insights, category‑management practices, and omnichannel strategies.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Strategic Leadership:** Set portfolio roles per account, develop annual and 3‑year business plans, and align retail strategies with product segment roadmaps.
- **Partnership Management:** Build indispensable relationships with Home Depot, Lowe’s, Menards, Amazon, Costco, and other key accounts; negotiate terms, service levels, and joint business plans.
- **Financial Management:** Own P&L, operating cash flow, working capital; control trade spend, forecast sales, and drive ROI‑focused investments.
- **Omnichannel & Analytics:** Implement fact‑based customer journey mapping, omnichannel initiatives, and analytics‑driven decision making; champion category management.
- **Cross‑Functional Collaboration:** Coordinate with product, marketing, supply chain, finance, and revenue‑management teams to align on product positioning, packaging, pricing, and inventory.
- **Team Development:** Recruit, develop, and retain talent; create capability‑building roadmaps and foster a performance‑driven culture.
- **Operational Excellence:** Monitor KPIs, adjust plans to meet or exceed targets, manage sales/distribution mix, and ensure execution of innovative launches and in‑store execution.
**Required Skills:**
- Proven P&L ownership for $200M+ retail businesses.
- Strong transformational leadership and change‑management experience.
- Deep expertise in retail partnership development, category captainship, and joint business planning.
- Advanced data analytics, market insight, and omnichannel strategy skills.
- Excellent negotiation, influencing, and executive‑level communication abilities.
- Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive results in a fast‑paced environment.
- Financial acumen in trade spend optimization, ROI analysis, and cash‑flow management.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field (required).
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree (highly preferred).
- Relevant certifications in retail management, analytics, or finance (e.g., CFA, PMP) are a plus.
