Job Description
**Job title**: Data Science Intern (Summer 2026) **Role Summary**: Provide end‑to‑end data science support on AI and ML projects, building generative models, statistical analytics, and recommendation systems for an event‑management platform. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, apply Python and SQL, and experiment with large‑language‑model (LLM) techniques to enhance product features. **Expactations**: - Complete 2–3 fully scoped projects within the 10‑week internship. - Deliver code, documentation, and model artifacts with production‑ready quality. - Present insights and model performance to stakeholders. - Demonstrate iterative learning and application of new AI tools. **Key Responsibilities**: - Develop and evaluate ML/Statistics models for personalization and engagement. - Create AI accelerators and prototype LLM‑powered features. - Manipulate and analyze large datasets using SQL and Python libraries (pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch). - Collaborate with data engineering and product teams to integrate models. - Communicate findings clearly through reports and visualizations. **Required Skills**: - Proficiency in Python programming and SQL querying. - Strong foundation in Machine Learning, statistical modeling, and data analysis. - Experience with data pipelines, version control (Git), and collaboration tools. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Self‑starter with curiosity, rapid learning ability, and teamwork orientation. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Current full‑time college student (Junior or Senior year) expecting graduation by May 2027. - Coursework in data science, machine learning, statistics, or related field. - No sponsorship or visa requirement.
