Full Stack Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design and extend a rapidly scaling web platform that serves students, parents, and partners. Build secure, high‑performance backend services (PHP/Laravel) and modern client experiences (React, Next.js, React Native). Operate within an AWS environment, maintain a MySQL data store, and collaborate closely with Product and Design to deliver new revenue streams.
**Expectations**
- Deliver production‑ready code every sprint, ensuring robustness, scalability, and maintainability.
- Apply AI development tools while rigorously validating and improving output.
- Maintain strong communication with cross‑functional teams and mentor peers.
- Achieve measurable product impact within 3‑6 months of joining.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Develop and extend backend APIs in PHP/Laravel, integrate with MySQL.
2. Build and optimize front‑end components using React, Next.js, and React Native (Expo).
3. Deploy and manage AWS resources (EC2, AppRunner, CodePipeline, S3, RDS).
4. Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and contribute to a clean, modular codebase.
5. Collaborate with Product & Design to translate requirements into technical solutions.
6. Utilize and review AI‑assisted code, ensuring quality and compliance.
7. Participate in sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives, maintaining alignment.
**Required Skills**
- 3+ years commercial experience in full‑stack development.
- Proficient with PHP and Laravel for backend service construction.
- Skilled in React, Next.js, and/or React Native for front‑end development.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS (EC2, AppRunner, CodePipeline, S3, RDS) and MySQL.
- Strong grasp of code quality, performance optimization, and maintainability.
- Comfortable integrating AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, Cursor) into workflow and validating output.
- Excellent communication, collaborative mindset, and proactive ownership.
**Required Education & Certifications**
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
No specific certifications required unless they demonstrate advanced cloud or web development expertise.
