Job Description: **Job Title:** IT Security Engineer (f/m) **Role Summary:** Join the cybersecurity team within the Information Systems Department of a large retail organization undergoing a major digital transformation. Responsible for protecting critical IT infrastructure and applications, conducting security audits, enhancing security monitoring architecture, and managing security events and reporting. **Expectations:** - Minimum 3 years of experience in offensive or defensive cybersecurity. - Technical leadership and ability to mentor others. - Strong service orientation with clear communication skills. - Self‑driven, autonomous, and curious attitude. **Key Responsibilities:** - Secure IT infrastructures and applications (cryptography, security testing). - Plan and execute security audits, including penetration tests. - Design and evolve security monitoring architecture and SOC capabilities. - Manage security incidents and event response processes. - Produce security metrics, dashboards, and reporting. - Conduct ongoing technology watch on cybersecurity trends and tools. **Required Skills:** - Knowledge of intrusion and penetration techniques (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK). - Proficiency with SIEM, IDS, and EDR solutions. - Understanding of DFIR (Digital Forensics & Incident Response) and anomaly detection. - Ability to lead technical initiatives and convey concepts clearly. - Pedagogical skills for knowledge transfer; strong autonomy and curiosity. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Typically a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). - Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, OSCP, CISM) are preferred but not mandatory.
