**Job Title:** Financial Assistant **Role Summary:** Support finance operations by managing accounts payable, supplier relationships, and financial data to ensure accurate cost tracking, cash flow management, and operational efficiency. **Expectations:** - Process supplier invoices and payments with precision. - Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies. - Monitor cash flow and foreign currency requirements. - Support annual audits and year-end processes. - Collaborate with finance teams to improve financial workflows. **Key Responsibilities:** - Maintain accurate records for accounts payable transactions, recording costs and liabilities. - Process and reconcile supplier payments via company bank accounts. - Review and address discrepancies in invoices/statements. - Monitor monthly unmatched reports for supplier refunds and initiate actions. - Liaise with suppliers to resolve queries and maintain strong working relationships. - Assist with year-end procedures, including audit preparation. - Identify opportunities to optimize internal finance processes. **Required Skills:** - Advanced Excel proficiency (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex formulas). - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data. - Organizational skills to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks. - Excellent communication for supplier and team collaboration. - Adaptability to learn financial systems (e.g., SAGE training advantageous). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Level 2 or 3 AAT qualification or equivalent accounting certification. - Prior experience in a finance or accounting role.
