Job Description
Job title: Java Developer Role Summary: Design, develop, test, implement, and support Java-based services, ensuring high quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards within an Agile environment. Expectations: - Work independently on complex designs and programs. - Maintain code quality through rigorous unit testing and code reviews. - Analyze and resolve production issues, determining root causes. - Participate in Scrum ceremonies to deliver software on schedule. - Communicate effectively with users, management, and architects. - Uphold professional conduct and company policies, including a code of ethics. Key Responsibilities: - Perform detailed design, coding, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of Java services. - Conduct root‑cause analysis of production issues and recommend resolution actions. - Participate in code reviews and adhere to established coding standards. - Write unit tests to ensure functionality and quality. - Facilitate design meetings with stakeholders. - Document code and design decisions for maintainability. - Engage in Scrum activities (planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews, retrospectives). - Maintain a professional demeanor and collaborate productively with all employee levels. Required Skills: - Proficient in Java programming and object‑oriented design. - Knowledge of design patterns, unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit), and version control. - Strong debugging and production issue‑resolution skills. - Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology. - Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. - Self‑starter capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
