Job Description

Job Title: Application Security Testing Role Summary: Conduct security testing of web-based applications, identify vulnerabilities per industry standards, and recommend remediation strategies using automated tools and manual analysis. Expectations: Demonstrate expertise in application security, effectively handle complex issues, and provide actionable solutions or workarounds to mitigate identified risks. Key Responsibilities: • Perform security testing of web applications using static and dynamic analysis tools. • Identify and document vulnerabilities, prioritizing them according to OWASP Top 10 and business impact. • Utilize Checkmarx, Fortify, or equivalent tools to scan codebases and infrastructure. • Analyze findings, propose remediation measures, and offer alternative mitigations when necessary. • Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement fixes and verify resolution. • Produce detailed reports, executive summaries, and documentation of test results. • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging application security threats and countermeasures. Required Skills: • Proven experience in web‑based application development. • Strong understanding of application security vulnerabilities, especially OWASP Top 10. • Proficiency with security testing tools such as Checkmarx or Fortify. • Ability to troubleshoot complex security issues and devise alternative solutions. • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills. Required Education & Certifications: • CISSP or equivalent security certification.
