Job Description
Job title: Head of Sales Role Summary: Executive leader who designs and drives a high‑impact sales strategy for a data and analytics portfolio, builds and mentors a high‑performing team, and delivers sustainable revenue growth through new acquisitions and expansion of existing accounts. Expactations: - Achieve and exceed revenue, pipeline and growth targets. - Deepen executive‑level client relationships and position the company as a trusted advisor. - Align sales initiatives with product development, marketing, and operations. - Provide accurate forecasting and expose risks or opportunities to executive leadership. Key Responsibilities: - Define and execute comprehensive sales strategy, identifying high‑potential industries and use cases. - Lead a 20‑person sales team (5 direct reports), coaching performance, setting KPIs and designing incentive plans. - Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure consistent messaging and efficient lead conversion. - Own the revenue lifecycle: pipeline generation, deal closure, renewals, upsell and cross‑sell. - Deliver real‑time visibility on performance and forecast accuracy. Required Skills: - Proven B2B sales expertise in data, analytics or technology sectors. - Strategic and consultative selling with ROI‑focused solution delivery. - Strong leadership, team building, coaching and KPI tracking. - Excellent communication, negotiation and executive stakeholder management. - Network across financial, retail, automotive, government and other sectors. - Proficiency with analytics platforms and the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science or related field; MBA preferred. - Minimum 10 years of progressive B2B sales experience.
