**Job Title:** Senior Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding (Sea & Air) **Role Summary:** Drive new business acquisition and revenue growth for sea and air freight services across the United Kingdom. Build and maintain relationships with shippers, carriers, and logistics partners to expand market share and achieve sales targets. **Expectations:** - Meet or exceed annual sales and profit objectives. - Develop a robust pipeline of qualified prospects. - Represent the company in client meetings, industry events, and travel as needed. - Provide accurate sales forecasts and reporting to senior leadership. **Key Responsibilities:** - Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities in sea and air freight segments. - Conduct market analysis to pinpoint growth areas and competitive positioning. - Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, quotations, and contract negotiations. - Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure. - Foster long‑term client relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. - Collaborate with operations, pricing, and service teams to ensure seamless service delivery. - Track sales performance metrics and adjust strategies to optimize results. **Required Skills:** - Proven senior‑level sales experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or related transportation sectors. - Strong knowledge of sea freight and air freight market dynamics, regulations, and pricing structures. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities. - Strategic prospecting and pipeline management skills. - Ability to work independently and lead cross‑functional initiatives. - Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite. - Willingness to travel within the UK as required. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (preferred). - Relevant industry certifications (e.g., FIATA, IATA, CILT) are advantageous but not mandatory.
