Job Description
Job Title: Product Development Lead Role Summary: Lead the end‑to‑end development of new cosmetic products and continuous improvement of existing lines, coordinating with external suppliers (labs, packaging, accessories) and internal teams (procurement, regulatory, brand, marketing, sales) to meet cost, quality, regulatory, and brand alignment goals. Expectations: • Deliver projects on schedule and within budget • Ensure full regulatory compliance and product safety • Drive innovation and continuous portfolio optimization • Effectively negotiate and manage supplier relationships • Provide clear, data‑driven insights to guide product strategy Key Responsibilities - Write supplier briefs and define product concepts, steering formulation innovation. - Coordinate daily collaboration with external partners, tracking trials, validating proposals, and managing adjustments. - Negotiate commercial and technical terms, monitor schedules, and anticipate industrial or material risks. - Liaise with internal teams (procurement, regulatory, brand/graphic, B2B/B2C) to align cost, timing, quality, and brand identity. - Organize internal and external product testing, analyze results, and share findings. - Manage operational back‑log from ideation to production launch. - Analyze catalog performance, identify optimization opportunities in formulas, packaging, and consumer perception, and develop improvement plans with partners. - Support legal and regulatory compliance, maintain dossiers, claims, packaging standards, and monitor regulatory changes. - Conduct regular competitive intelligence, benchmark trends, innovations, and consumer behavior across B2B and B2C markets; synthesize key insights to inform decisions. - Identify opportunities for line enrichment or extension. Required Skills - Proven project management of complex product development cycles. - Strong understanding of cosmetic chemistry, formulation, packaging, and industrial processes. - Excellent coordination and communication with diverse stakeholders. - Negotiation and supplier relationship management. - Analytical mindset for performance data and market trends. - Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to meet rigorous deadlines. - Proactive curiosity about industry trends and consumer expectations. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cosmetics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Product Marketing (or related field). - Minimum 1 year of product development experience in cosmetics or beauty sector. ---
