**Job Title**
Site Reliability Engineer – Remote (US)
**Role Summary**
Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure SaaS products that have migrated from on‑premise data centers to AWS. Lead cloud‑native operational processes, automation, and observability to ensure continuous reliability and performance for platform and product teams.
**Expectations**
- Drive end‑to‑end reliability for cloud‑hosted applications.
- Deliver measurable improvements in uptime, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate across Development, Platform, and Business units using Agile (Scrum/Kanban).
- Mentor teams on AWS Well‑Architected Framework and cloud‑best practices.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Operate and expand AWS infrastructure for SaaS products (EKS, EC2, ELB, RDS, Elastic Beanstalk).
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitOps, ArgoCD, FluxCD, Azure DevOps).
- Build IaC with Terraform; enforce security, configuration, and compliance standards.
- Design, monitor, and troubleshoot microservices, APIs, and network traffic (CloudWatch, curl, wget, HTTP/HTTPS analysis).
- Automate repetitive tasks using Python, Bash, PowerShell; manage large file transfers and AMI lifecycle.
- Integrate service mesh technologies (Linkerd, Istio) when applicable.
- Lead incident response, escalation, and performance tuning.
- Provide documentation, metrics dashboards, and process improvements for observability.
**Required Skills**
- 5+ years of DevOps/Infra experience, 1+ year in SRE or related role.
- Proficient in AWS (EKS, EC2, ELB, RDS, Beanstalk, CloudWatch).
- Strong experience with containerization, Kubernetes, and GitOps CI/CD.
- IaC expertise with Terraform and configuration management.
- Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell; database skills with SQL/RDS.
- Network troubleshooting and HTTP protocol knowledge.
- Agile working mindset; excellent communication.
- Azure DevOps experience preferred; service mesh knowledge a plus.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- AWS certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) strongly preferred (not mandatory).
