Job Description
**Job Title:** Corporate Data Security Officer **Role Summary:** Leads the design, implementation, and ongoing management of corporate data security policies, standards, procedures, and technologies. Acts as the primary authority for protecting company information, conducting risk assessments, investigating breaches, and ensuring compliance across all business units. **Expectations:** - Develop and execute an enterprise‑wide data security strategy. - Maintain continuous risk monitoring and timely response to security incidents. - Provide expert guidance and training to staff on data protection and privacy. - Collaborate with audit, legal, and loss‑prevention functions to align security with regulatory and business requirements. **Key Responsibilities:** - Create annual resource plans for security programs. - Conduct security risk assessments and investigate violations. - Design and enforce controls, standards, and procedures to reduce risk. - Lead data classification and data security initiatives. - Oversee security software maintenance and coordinate updates. - Deliver and manage Security Awareness Training. - Perform data ownership analysis and risk analysis consulting for management. - Supervise, mentor, and train team members in the Data Security program. - Research, evaluate, and recommend new security technologies. - Report program performance metrics to senior leadership. **Required Skills:** - ≥3 years experience as a Senior System Analyst or equivalent, with focus on application development and security controls. - Strong knowledge of hardware/software configuration, database environments, and data management. - Proven ability to design and implement security controls and standards. - Excellent written and verbal communication; strong interpersonal skills. - Highly organized, capable of multitasking and adapting to changing priorities. - Experience conducting risk assessments, investigations, and security audits. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred). - Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer) are desirable but not mandatory.
