Job Description
**Job Title:** Specialist, Data Services **Role Summary:** Lead and manage enterprise data governance for the Metals division, ensuring data integrity, quality, security, and regulatory compliance while aligning governance initiatives with business strategy. **Expectations:** - Develop and execute an annual data governance plan that supports organizational priorities. - Serve as primary liaison among the Data Governance Committee, data owners, stewards, and business stakeholders. - Maintain compliance with governance standards, policies, and relevant regulations. - Drive continuous improvement of data quality and stewardship across the enterprise. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, implement, and monitor the data governance framework and roadmap. - Coordinate governance activities, risk identification, and mitigation efforts. - Provide advisory support on data management, privacy, security, and usage. - Integrate governance principles into projects, initiatives, and technology solutions. - Collaborate with executive and operational teams to influence data‑related decisions. - Oversee data quality improvement programs and monitor data trust metrics. **Required Skills:** - 10+ years enterprise data governance, data management, and data privacy experience. - Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA‑DMBOK). - Experience with manufacturing data environments and related compliance requirements. - Technical proficiency in databases, analytics, reporting, and data modeling tools. - Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross‑functional collaboration. - Analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. - Working knowledge of Python, machine learning, and AI concepts. - Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint, Azure Purview, data fabric, Azure platform, Databricks, and Fivetran (beneficial). **Required Education & Certifications:** - University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - ITIL certification(s) preferred. - Project management experience/certification considered an asset.
