Job Description
**Job title:** DevOps Manager **Role Summary:** Lead a Site Reliability and DevOps team to design, automate, secure, and manage cloud‑based infrastructure and deployment pipelines. Drive continuous integration/delivery practices, enhance system reliability, and embed security throughout the software development lifecycle. **Expectations:** - Manage a team of 3‑5 DevOps/SRE engineers and coordinate cross‑functional projects. - Deliver automation solutions that meet or exceed service level agreements. - Enforce change‑management, security, and compliance standards across all environments. - Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide technical guidance on CI/CD, IaC, and automated testing. - Develop and maintain documentation for processes, procedures, and standards. - Lead sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and demos with development and QA teams. - Design, implement, and secure infrastructure using IaC (Terraform, Ansible, etc.). - Monitor system performance, capacity, and SLAs; implement optimizations. - Integrate security controls into build pipelines; manage SAST/DAST, container security, and vulnerability scanners. - Collaborate with Dev, Data, and Ops teams to embed security into SDLC stages. - Stay current with industry trends and emerging security/automation technologies. **Required Skills:** - Proven leadership of teams and multi‑project delivery. - 5+ years DevOps Engineering experience, with 3+ years in a lead role. - Expertise in Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms. - Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, service discovery, and monitoring. - Proficient in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ruby, or Perl). - Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Octopus, etc.) and automation frameworks (Ansible, Chef, Terraform). - Experience with logging, SIEM, metrics tools, and vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys, InsightVM). - Familiarity with code analysis tools (linters, Snyk, etc.). - Excellent communication, multitasking, and prioritization abilities. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Kubernetes Administrator) are highly valued.
