Job Description: **Job Title:** Junior Software Developer **Role Summary:** Join a fast‑growing e‑health startup to support the development, deployment, and maintenance of an innovative software platform that connects families, caregivers, and critical‑care patients. Work closely with the lead developer and hospital IT teams in a dynamic, socially impactful environment. **Expectations:** - Strong motivation to solve technical challenges that have high social impact. - Ability to adapt quickly in a startup setting and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. - Effective technical communication, including simplifying complex concepts for non‑technical audiences. - Willingness to travel occasionally to partner hospitals in the region. **Key Responsibilities:** - Implement technical solutions to evolve the application based on field requirements and ensure future maintainability. - Assist with deployment of the software into hospital IT infrastructures. - Participate in specification, development, and testing activities for new features. - Contribute to the evolution of the existing application toward a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). - Work with hospital IT staff to organize deployments, gather requirements, and ensure interoperability with existing systems. - Produce and maintain technical documentation and assist partner teams in understanding software operation and incident handling. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in PHP development. - Experience with MySQL databases. - Familiarity with Git version control. - Comfortable working in Linux production environments. - Solid foundation in software development lifecycle (specification, coding, testing). - Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders. - Team player capable of working in a two‑person development pair and with external IT teams. - Adaptability to a fast‑paced, startup culture. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - At least one validated software development project or internship (first professional experience). - No specific certifications required; relevant coursework or certifications in PHP/MySQL are a plus.
