**Job Title**: Back End Developer
**Role Summary**:
Responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing a Sitecore XM 10.2 environment during migration to XM Cloud. Focuses on secure coding, performance tuning, vulnerability management, and compliance with governance standards. Works closely with architects, DevOps, and security teams to ensure platform stability and business continuity.
**Expectations**:
- Deliver robust site stability and security in a large‑scale Sitecore deployment.
- Lead secure development practices, code reviews, and performance enhancements.
- Coordinate with migration and operational teams to support a seamless transition to XM Cloud.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Maintain and patch existing Sitecore XM 10.2 environment until cutover.
- Implement secure development practices for Sitecore and C#/.NET.
- Perform vulnerability scanning, patching, and remediation of Sitecore instances, pipelines, and custom modules.
- Conduct security‑centric code reviews focusing on scalability and performance.
- Optimize platform performance: caching, SQL Server tuning, CDN/WAF configurations.
- Enhance observability: logging, monitoring, and alerting (e.g., Application Insights, Azure Monitor).
- Contribute to SLA/OLA, incident management, and change management processes.
- Ensure coexistence readiness with XM Cloud: content parity, cache coordination, incident communication.
- Enforce feature freeze on legacy platform (security, compliance, stability only).
- Keep abreast of Sitecore XM/ Cloud updates, .NET releases, and web security standards.
- Document technical and security changes per governance and audit requirements.
- Support migration project team activities.
**Required Skills**:
- 5+ years Sitecore back‑end development focused on security and performance.
- 5+ years C# / .NET professional experience.
- Deep knowledge of Sitecore XM 10.2 installation, configuration, patching, pipelines, and performance optimization.
- Strong web application security expertise (OWASP, secure headers, encryption, CSRF/XSS prevention).
- Experience with DevOps & CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.) for Sitecore.
- Hands‑on experience with on‑premises Sitecore deployments and manual provisioning.
- SQL Server performance tuning and content delivery scaling for Sitecore.
- Familiarity with WAF/CDN (F5, Azure Front Door, Cloudflare) integration.
- Proficiency with observability tools (Application Insights, Seq, Kibana).
- Knowledge of Sitecore XM Cloud a plus.
- Ability to produce detailed technical documentation (TOGAF).
- Strong communication (English), collaborative with architecture, DevOps, and security teams.
- Dutch and/or French language skills are an advantage.
**Required Education & Certifications**:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
