**Job Title**
Developer Consultant – Guidewire PolicyCenter / ClaimCenter
**Role Summary**
Drive configuration, development, and integration of Guidewire PolicyCenter and/or ClaimCenter solutions. Translate business requirements into custom UI, workflows, and business logic using Guidewire Studio, Gosu, and Java. Participate in full SDLC within an Agile framework and support large‑scale policy administration or claims projects.
**Expectations**
* Proven Guidewire developer with 6+ years in database analysis or programming (or 8+ years with a high‑school diploma).
* Strong experience across all phases of database management and Guidewire product implementation.
* Expert knowledge of Object‑Oriented analysis, Java/JMS, web services (XML/JSON), and performance troubleshooting.
* Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices, including JIRA, Git, JUnit/GUnit, Jenkins, Bamboo, and code‑quality tools.
* Capacity to mentor and build a high‑performance configuration team.
* Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Configure and customize PolicyCenter/ClaimCenter modules, user interfaces, workflows, and business rules.
* Develop and maintain Java/JMOs, GSOS, and integration points (queues, JMS, SOA) for core insurance processes.
* Analyze and resolve performance issues in Guidewire or related applications.
* Write and execute unit, integration, and performance tests; maintain code coverage and quality metrics.
* Lead or participate in large integration initiatives, guiding the team through scoping, design, development, testing, and deployment.
* Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and QA to ensure high‑quality configuration deliverables.
* Share knowledge and best practices with peers and junior team members; contribute to configuration standardisation.
**Required Skills**
* Guidewire PolicyCenter / ClaimCenter development (Gosu, PCF, Wizards, Workflow, Activity).
* Java EE, JMS/queue integration, web services (SOAP/REST), XML, JSON.
* Strong OOP design, data‑model understanding, and rule engine usage.
* Experience with DevOps tools: Git/SVN, Jenkins/Bamboo, JUnit/GUnit, code‑scan/coverage.
* Solid understanding of Agile SDLC, sprint planning, and continuous delivery.
* Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to resolve conflicts and influence stakeholders.
**Required Education & Certifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent plus ≥6 years experience, **or**
* High School diploma/Equivalent plus ≥8 years experience, **or**
* Certified Insurance Apprentice with Associate degree plus ≥6 years experience.
* Guidewire Certified Developer (PolicyCenter or ClaimCenter) – preferably version 10 or Cloud.
