Job Description
Job title: Senior DevOps Developer Role Summary: Drives design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and cost‑optimized AWS‑based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. Leverages Kubernetes, container technologies, automation scripts, and security best practices to deliver high‑performance, resilient services across cloud and on‑prem environments. Expactations: Deliver architecture and hands‑on execution for multi‑cloud and on‑prem environments, including cost‑optimization, security hardening, and automation of application deployment and operations. Mentor teammates, produce comprehensive technical documentation, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities: - Design and optimize AWS infrastructure (EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, EBS, CloudFront, API Gateway, IAM, VPC, VPN, cross‑region routing). - Architect and maintain Kubernetes clusters, Docker containers and GitOps pipelines using ArgoCD/FluxCD. - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or GitHub Actions, automate builds, tests, and deployments across AWS services. - Implement cost‑management strategies, analyze AWS billing, and refactor architectures for continuous cost reduction. - Deploy and secure applications on AWS (EKS, ECS, Fargate, Lambda, serverless). - Configure and maintain security controls: IAM, SSO (Google, Okta, Azure), network segmentation, firewalls, encryption, and vulnerability scanning. - Monitor and troubleshoot cloud services, Kubernetes metrics, auto‑scaling, and performance bottlenecks using Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or equivalent. - Manage MySQL databases: installation, backup, tuning, and query optimization. - Lead ETL operations into data warehouses (Google BigQuery, Snowflake). - Produce and maintain runbooks, process documentation, and technical guides. - Enable AI/LLM environments as an added capability. Required Skills: - Deep expertise in AWS services, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Cost Explorer. - Strong Kubernetes & Docker skills, including container registry, Helm, ArgoCD/FluxCD. - Proficient with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitOps). - Advanced scripting: Python, Bash/Shell. - Network engineering: routing, VPN, wireless, firewall configuration. - Security: network & application security, IAM, SSO, encryption, vulnerability mitigation. - Monitoring & observability: Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, auto‑scaling logic. - Database admin: MySQL, performance tuning, transactions. - ETL & data warehousing: BigQuery, Snowflake. - Documentation and process writing. - Experience with AI/LLM setups (optional). Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Relevant certifications ideal: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Docker Associate. - Proven track record of 5+ years in DevOps, cloud architecture, and automation.
