Job Description
Job title: DevOps Engineer Role Summary Responsible for managing, migrating, and administering GitHub platforms, maintaining Linux-based applications, automating CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with development and global teams to deliver high‑quality digital solutions. Expectations - Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with GitHub and related tools. - Agile mindset with active participation in all team ceremonies. - Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and communicate complex ideas clearly. - Willingness to work flexible hours with international teams. Key Responsibilities - Lead migration of on‑prem GitHub data to GitHub Enterprise and manage enterprise users. - Administer GitHub platform components (CoPilot, Actions, etc.) and related products. - Maintain and troubleshoot Linux environments (VMs, containers, Kubernetes). - Design, develop, and automate processes using JavaScript, Python, or Java/Spring Boot scripts. - Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitHub Actions. - Write automation scripts for routine tasks and simplify complex processes. - Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot pipeline tuning and performance issues. - Monitor support tickets, resolve GitHub integration and platform issues, and provide customer support. - Proactively analyze system performance and recommend improvement solutions. - Participate in backlog refinement, planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives. Required Skills - GitHub platform & Enterprise administration - GitHub Actions, CoPilot, and related tooling - CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) - Scripting: Python, JavaScript, Java/Spring Boot - Linux administration (VMs, containers, Kubernetes) - Agile development practices and ceremony participation - Strong written and oral communication - Problem‑solving and multitasking - Optional: AI/ML bot & security, MCP servers - Cloud platforms: GCP, OpenShift or similar Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred). - Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
