Ecommerce Europe is an association representing more than 150 000 companies selling products and/or services online to consumers in Europe, through its national e-commerce associations. Its mission is to advance the interests of the digital commerce sector in Europe through advocacy, communication and networking. Goals: 1. Enhance the success of the European B2C e-commerce industry; 2. Provide a strong and effective representation of B2C e-commerce industry in Brussels; 3. Advance the interest of B2C e-commerce industry with relevant stakeholders and institutions; National Associations Ecommerce Europe welcomes and invites national associations in EU member states, EFTA countries and EU candidate countries representing the e-commerce B2C industry in their domestic market to join the association. Job Description
Job title: EU Public Affairs Assistant Role Summary: Assist the policy team in monitoring digital commerce issues, preparing briefing materials, conducting research, engaging stakeholders, and supporting strategy implementation. Expactations: Deliver accurate monitoring reports, briefing notes, and articles; coordinate meetings and webinars; aid in stakeholder engagement; support communications and public affairs strategy; maintain timely and high‑quality documentation. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct detailed monitoring of EU digital commerce policy developments. - Prepare background notes, briefings, reports, meeting minutes, and web articles on relevant policy issues. - Support advocacy work through research, analysis, and stakeholder engagement. - Contribute to the development and execution of the public affairs strategy. - Organize meetings, webinars, and events. - Assist the Marketing and Communication Manager in communications initiatives. Required Skills: - Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of additional languages is an asset. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint). - Experience with Mailchimp, WordPress, and social media platforms is advantageous. - Strong communication, interpersonal, and proactive teamwork skills. - Interest in EU digital and circular economy policies. Required Education & Certifications: - Graduate or final‑year student of a Master’s degree in European Studies, Political Science, Law, or a related field. - Prior internship experience in digital policy, European Institutions, or Public Affairs is desirable.
