Job Description
Job title: Transport Operations Coordinator (Route) Role Summary: Coordinate and manage day‑to‑day freight movements across multiple shipment types (parcels, pallets, bulk loads). Serve a diverse client portfolio, generate custom quotes, and ensure on‑time delivery while resolving exceptions. Expectations: Deliver accurate shipping schedules, maintain high client satisfaction, support sales in tender responses, and exhibit proactive problem‑solving within a fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, schedule, and track outbound and inbound shipments across all modes (road, sea, air). - Maintain and update client and carrier databases; manage relationships with transport partners. - Prepare transportation quotes and propose cost‑efficient, client‑specific solutions. - Identify and resolve shipment disruptions, anomalies, and disputes; document and follow up on corrective actions. - Collaborate with sales to prepare and submit competitive tenders and proposals. - Produce and review operational reports, dashboards, and KPI metrics; utilize Excel for analysis and forecasting. Required Skills: - Experience in freight logistics or shipping (internship or entry‑level role acceptable). - Strong client‑service orientation and ability to manage urgent requests. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, conditional formatting). - Basic English communication, including shipment terminology. - Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities; proactive, solution‑focused attitude. - Ability to communicate effectively with carriers, clients, and internal teams. Required Education & Certifications: - High‑school diploma or equivalent; logistics, supply‑chain, or transport studies preferred. - Certification in freight or logistics administration is advantageous but not mandatory.
