Job Description
Job Title: Director of Product Management Role Summary: Lead the global product management and marketing function for a high‑speed connector business unit. Drive strategy, product development, and market positioning while managing a cross‑functional team in a matrixed environment. Expectations: - Deliver 1‑3 year product roadmaps aligned with business growth. - Achieve revenue and margin targets through new product launches and market expansion. - Maintain strong vendor and customer relationships. - Foster a collaborative, high‑performance culture. Key Responsibilities: 1. Develop and maintain the product portfolio strategy and lifecycle plans. 2. Coordinate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing to ensure timely, on‑spec releases. 3. Conduct market, competitive, and financial analysis to identify opportunities. 4. Create pricing, positioning, and go‑to‑market plans in partnership with sales. 5. Manage the performance of a team of up to 8 product managers and marketing staff. 6. Provide executive‑level reporting on product and market metrics. 7. Represent the business unit in global forums and customer engagements (up to 50 % travel). Required Skills: - Strategic product planning and portfolio management. - Financial modelling and profitability analysis. - Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. - Experience leading cross‑functional, globally dispersed teams. - Customer‑centric mindset with proven sales‑enablement capabilities. - Ability to coach and develop high‑performing talent. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field. - MBA or equivalent is highly preferred. - Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CPIM, or Product Management Institute) are an advantage.
