Job Description
Job Title: Product Development Engineer – Mechatronics, EV Role Summary: Lead the design, development, and validation of electromechanical systems for electric vehicles, focusing on dynamic mechanical components and motor control integration within an R&D laboratory environment. Expectations: Deliver high‑performance, reliable electromechanical solutions; collaborate cross‑functionally; meet project milestones; maintain rigorous documentation and testing standards. Key Responsibilities: - Design and prototype dynamic mechanical components such as gears, shafts, and splines. - Develop and validate electromechanical systems, including actuators, sensors, and control subsystems. - Integrate motors, inverters, and motor control systems into vehicle platforms. - Design, simulate, and troubleshoot analog and digital electrical circuits. - Program and debug firmware using C, C++, Python, and MATLAB. - Implement and test CAN bus communication protocols. - Conduct data logging and analysis to support design iterations and performance validation. - Prepare technical reports and documentation for design reviews and compliance. Required Skills: - Expertise in designing dynamic mechanical components (gears, shafts, splines). - Proficiency with electromechanical system development and validation. - Strong knowledge of actuators, sensors, and control systems. - Experience integrating motors, inverters, and motor control electronics. - Electrical engineering fundamentals – analog and digital circuit design. - Programming in C, C++, Python, MATLAB. - Familiarity with CAN bus communication and debugging tools. - Competence in data logging and analysis tools. Required Education & Certifications: - Master’s degree or PhD in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline. - Certifications in relevant control or automotive systems (e.g., VDE, ISO/TS 16949) preferred but not mandatory.
