**Job Title**
Quality, Hygiene, Safety and Environment (QHSE) Manager – Construction (BTP)
**Role Summary**
Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of the company’s QHSE management system across all construction sites. Drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with regulations and standards (ISO 9001/14001, HQE, etc.), and safeguard health, safety and environmental performance.
**Expectations**
- 3–5 years of progressive QHSE experience in construction.
- Proven track record in managing ISO certification and site‑based QHSE programmes.
- Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Deploy and enforce the quality management system, conduct internal and external audits, and prepare reports.
- Conduct professional risk assessments for the entire organisation, define hazardous situations, and implement preventive measures.
- Manage safety documentation (PGCSPS, PPSPS, safety protocols, prevention plans) and ensure strict adherence to French health, safety and environmental law.
- Coordinate site and site‑specific security, verify equipment compliance, and oversee incident tracking and corrective actions.
- Design and deliver training on QHSE procedures to internal and external staff.
- Steward environmental compliance: waste management, noise, energy consumption, circular economy initiatives, and support funding for energy transition projects.
- Maintain QHSE dashboards and report key performance indicators to senior management.
**Required Skills**
- Expertise in French health & labour codes, ISO 9001/14001, HCQ, and environmental regulations.
- Ability to conduct risk analysis, internal audits, and continuous improvement drives.
- Proficiency in drafting and maintaining safety and environmental documentation.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office and QHSE data tools.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Autonomous, proactive, pedagogic, organised, and responsive.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s to Master’s degree in QHSE, environmental engineering, occupational safety, or related field (Bac + 3 to Bac + 5).
- ISO 9001 lead auditor or equivalent certification highly regarded.
